Whether you’re a soccer mom, a runner mom, a yoga mom, a mom looking to get back into fitness or even just a busy mom with an active family this blog is for you!

Being a mom is HARD. Being one who is active in sports and fitness takes tremendous dedication and motivation. Most of us are just real moms. Real moms who are busy, constantly juggling the demands of family, work, other activities and don’t have time or energy for intense (or perfect) workouts 7 days a week. It can be a struggle to prioritize our needs and connect with our identity outside of being “Mom”.

Living an active lifestyle is not only important for our own health but for the health of our children too.  We are in a very special position to be a positive role model for our kids and model for them how to make healthy choices, the values of being a team player, how to persevere to achieve goals and how to gain confidence.

With articles, fitness tips, recipes, reviews of mom friendly products, classes and services, profiles of real sports moms, interviews and more, my goal is to help keep it simple, fun and positive while you embrace the chaos of trying to balance an active life!

Lorna Croswell Kick It Like MomHi! I am Lorna Croswell.

I am a soccer player, a woman and a mom to a very active toddler. (The order of which depends on the day!)

I enjoy writing about women’s sports, fitness, family and finding the humor in trying to stay active and balance it all based on my experiences on the field and in the trenches at home.

I live in Seattle, WA with my husband and daughter. In my small amount of “Me Time” I play soccer, support our local women’s professional sports teams and run a charity with my husband which raises funds for HIV affected children in Southern Africa. I enjoy traveling to sunny places and snowboarding.

A very big thank you to my extremely supportive husband, to my teammates and the female professional athletes who have inspired me, and to my little kicker Mac who keeps me on my toes.
